One of the strengths of Achievekids is integrating them into the community through a vocational education program. All children 14 years and above participate in the Vocational Education Program.

These jobs are at major corporations including Borders, Dominoes Pizza, Starbucks, Target, and Blockbuster Video. Students help in stacking items, delivering direct mail and providing services to employers.

The Vocational Education Program provides students with a wide range of opportunities to learn both job skills and workplace social skills. Not only do they learn about appropriate dress attire, the importance of getting to work on time, how to interact with their supervisors and co-workers and the job tasks they are given, they also learn about the pride of earning a paycheck, how to participate as a member of their community and the significance of having a resume to ensure their employability when they leave our program. The Vocational Education Program is an investment in both their present health and their future independence.

These activities are part of California's WorkAbility I program.
